12. People get excited easily. Are you able to commit to this trip with a deposit of $500US? Some people just go MIA when time comes to pay the deposit. Don't be one of them. 🙂 The deposit is required for some activities in Brazil that need to be prepaid, such as the domestic flight Rio de Janeiro - Manaus. The deposit goes towards the final payment, but you will lose it if you cancel the trip, regardless of the reason. The balance is due two months before the trip.
